Abhishek Kamat

As your President, I am the main representative of the JCR to the College and to OUSU – the Oxford University Student Union. I’m supported by a fantastic VP and committee that will seek to make your transition into St Anne’s as comfortable as possible. We have exciting events planned for you all throughout next year so you have plenty to look forward to. Apart from representing you and your interests, I study PPE from time to time and get overly competitive during pool games in the JCR.

Michael Lever

I’m Michael and besides being the only second year doing History & Economics, I’m also your VP. As well as fetching Abhishek tea as and when he pleases, my main role is the organisation of Freshers’ Week, which, you’ll be pleased to know, will be organised long before you read this handbook. I am also Captain of the mighty Mint Green Army (the College football team), so I can really recommend the College sporting scene. You’ll likely see me procrastinating in the JCR (Danson Room) directing mildly cynical remarks at anything and everything between games of pool, which is fortunate, as I also happen to be in charge of maintaining the Danson Room. Any suggestions for additions to our common room, as well as for any else at all, are encouraged, so do get in touch

Duncan McKellar

Hi, I'm Duncan and am the treasurer of the JCR. I'm responsible for the JCR’s finances, which involves running the accounts and overseeing the JCR spending. So if you ever require funding from the JCR or need reimbursed for something then please get in touch.  When not working (I’m a PPEist) I love to run and enjoy the outdoors, so you’ll probably see me about college in my bright yellow running gear! As a member of the newly formed Scottish society, I also look forward to a year of whisky sipping whilst reminiscing about my homeland….

Rebecca Henderson

Hi! I'm Becca, JCR Secretary. I will be responsible for minuting all the meetings and for keeping you updated on all the good stuff going on around St Anne's and Oxford as a whole. Look out for my emails which will tell you all of what you need to know (with the occasional chance to win chocolate too!) and do come along to the JCR meetings to vote on all the motions - if you want to submit one of your own, don't hesitate to get in touch. When not in secretary mode, I'm most likely to be found writing an essay in an obscure library corner, or with a cup of tea in hand having a chat in a Wolfson kitchen.
